Battery-Powered Vehicle Lab
purpose
The purpose of this lab was to expand our knowledge of linear motion, critical thinking, scientific investigation, motion, graphing, and movement .
materials
-meter sticks
-stopwatch(phone)
-battery car
-table on paper

-table on paper
procedure
o Lay out 5 meter sticks and mark with tape where 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 meters are.
o have a stop watch.
o get a vehicle and time the time it takes to get to each meter.
o record the time on a table. meters and seconds.

data
Equation:2.14x+1.366=y
Error analysis: The purpose of this lab was to study the concept of linear motion and during the lab, my group only and one error that we could find. the stopwatch that we used on a phone had trouble stopping at the right time so our second could be a little off.

questions
1. The motion of the car went at a constant linear speed for 5 meters from what we saw on the graph, the graph shows a linear line.
2.The slope of the line tells me that the slope is linear and positive and that the line goes up by 2.12 each time.
3.We could use this equation to predict the time that the car would take to get to 6 meters or vice versa.
4.We chose to do the procedure this way because we thought that it would get the most important information and have fewer errors.
